“Some artists make money, some artists make Art, and some artists make history”- Marcus Amerman

I have been an artist my whole life……and longer. The power of creating, the increasing number of mediums available, and the idea that we live in a time of great and constant change, makes this an especially crucial lifetime in which to accomplish long-term goals.

I feel fortunate to live in this time of proliferating media communication because it aids me in sharing the art that I have endeavored to imbue with the information I have learned on this planet.

I have exhibited my art in Siberia, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, England, Sweden, Scotland, the Netherlands and Disney World. I have performed as Buffalo Man at The Smithsonian and the Santa Fe Opera and have appeared on the award-winning cover of a coffee table photography Hardback named “Indian Country”. I have danced in my own designs in a 3-Jumbotron fashion show in Johannesburg, South Africa, did the stage design for a Native American play in Toronto, had two layouts of my fashion and jewelry in Elle Magazine and was awarded $50,000 by USArtists. I like the feeling that I and my art belong to the world as a whole.

The goal of my art is communication. I am a multi-media artist and I strive to learn and progress in various mediums as if there were an artist’s decathlon in a planetary Art Olympics. I would take gold in the beadwork event and place high enough in the events of painting, collage, glasswork, performance art, fashion, stone sculpture, wood carving and traditional arts to win the All-Around.

This concept I have of creating with the goal of imparting something of importance as a result is my overriding motivation. My instincts also tell me that anything I learn how to create in this life will aid me in the creative lifetimes of my future, should there be any. As if one’s aesthetic can travel with the soul through lifetimes, I feel as if all types of learning aid my personal quest and my ability to communicate, eventually.
